Diana Kennedy: Nothing Fancy is a feature documentary about notoriously opinionated British cookbook author Diana Kennedy, widely considered the world’s foremost expert on Mexican cuisine. The author of nine cookbooks, Diana lived on an ecological ranch in the mountains of Michoacan for nearly sixty years researching the cuisines and botany of Mexico, while growing her own coffee, vegetables, corn and wheat and sunbathing naked to opera music. The film won a Special Jury Award for Storytelling at SXSW in 2019 and was distributed on Apple TV and Amazon Prime in 2020. Diana died peacefully at home in Mexico in 2021. She was 99.
