Elizabeth Carroll, a native of Austin, Texas, studied film at the University of San Francisco under Oscar-nominated filmmaker Sam Green. She has previously directed content for The New York Times. Her first feature film, Nothing Fancy: Diana Kennedy, won a Special Jury Award for Excellence in Storytelling at its World Premiere at SXSW in 2019. She is most drawn to stories with personal and anthropological ties to food around the world.
